L.L.Bean Summer Kids' Camp

Freeport, Maine

Our camp is located on the scenic shores of Casco Bay in Freeport, Maine, which offers a unique opportunity to explore the outdoors by land and sea. Each day your child will be guided by expert instructors and experienced camp counselors while they participate in small-group activities that may include kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, archery, fly casting, geocaching, camp craft and more. In addition to these core activities and playing games, they will learn about the ecology and natural history of this historic Maine location. All campers will experience the fun of our low ropes course, while older campers will also enjoy the thrill of our high ropes challenge course!

Our instructors and counselors foster a friendly, safe and supportive environment, allowing your child to try new activities and learn more about themselves. They'll make new friends and learn lifelong outdoor skills, helping them be more comfortable and confident in the outdoors. At the beginning of the week, campers will receive an L.L.Bean carabiner. As they stretch their comfort zone trying new outdoor skills and participating in team initiatives, they will receive a special laminated skills tag for each activity completed. Each tag is a symbol of the growth and confidence they have gained!
